HackFirstAid IT Teams & MSPs
TERMS

Terms of use

Plain-language terms for the site, the resources, and the subscription. Last updated 2026-01.

What this is

HackFirstAid IT Teams & MSPs is a cyber-readiness curriculum, resource library, and advisory subscription. It is not hands-on incident response, legal counsel, cyber-insurance brokerage, or a managed security service.

Use of the site and resources

  • Free resources (one-pagers, briefs, blog posts) may be printed and shared inside your organisation. Please don't repackage or resell them.
  • Subscription content (runbooks, hardening libraries, tabletops) is licensed to the named seats on your subscription and their households. Not for resale or redistribution.
  • MSP subscribers may use the Multiplier Track internally. Reselling HackFirstAid to end-clients requires a partner agreement — partners.hackfirstaid.com.

Advisory hours and incident support

Advisory hours included with your tier are decision support, runbook coaching, and executive briefing — not hands-on incident response, forensics, or remediation. For live incidents requiring in-environment work, we warm-intro a vetted DFIR partner; engagement with that firm is direct between you and them.

No warranty; limitation of liability

Content is provided as-is for educational and decision-support purposes. It is not legal, regulatory, or insurance advice. To the maximum extent permitted by law, HackFirstAid's aggregate liability under this agreement is capped at the fees paid by you to HackFirstAid in the twelve months preceding the claim.

Billing, cancellation, renewals

  • Subscriptions are annual by default. Quarterly billing available on IT Team and MSP tiers on request.
  • Renewals occur at list price unless a contract states otherwise. Cancel any time before renewal for a full stop of billing at term end.
  • Refunds within the first 14 days of a new subscription, pro-rated to unused advisory hours.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Nova Scotia, Canada, with disputes resolved in the courts of Halifax Regional Municipality, unless the parties agree otherwise in a signed engagement letter.
