Privacy policy

What we collect

  • Email address and name — when you sign up for the Practitioner Brief, download a resource, or send a pricing inquiry.
  • Account data — if you subscribe, the identifiers needed to run your account (organisation name, seat identifiers, billing contact).
  • Aggregate site analytics — via a privacy-respecting analytics provider (Plausible). No third-party ad cookies. No cross-site tracking.

What we do with it

  • Send the Practitioner Brief and the other briefs you opted into.
  • Deliver resources you requested and respond to inquiries you sent.
  • Run and improve the subscription you paid for.
  • Meet legal and regulatory obligations (tax, contract, incident reporting).

What we don't do

  • Sell, rent, or trade your email or contact information to anyone.
  • Share subscriber lists with sponsors, partners, or advertisers.
  • Send you unrelated commercial email you didn't opt into.

Your controls

  • Unsubscribe — every email has a one-click unsubscribe link.
  • Access, correction, deletion — email travis@hackfirstaid.com and we'll action it within one business week.
  • Jurisdiction rights — GDPR, UK GDPR, CCPA, PIPEDA rights apply where they apply; the request email above is the intake.

Retention & security

Subscriber and inquiry records are retained for the life of your subscription plus the period required by tax and contract law, then deleted. Data is held in region-appropriate infrastructure with encryption in transit and at rest.
